Debra’s words were meant to pressure Sandra, but Sandra refused to argue with a group of immoral people.
“I’ll say it again,” she said firmly. “As long as the culprit confesses to Mr. Victor Cooper, he will recover from his illness. If you don’t believe me, there’s nothing more I can do.”
Angela clenched her teeth in anger. “You’re just fearmongering!”
“If you don’t believe it, why don’t you try it?” Sandra replied, her voice calm and unwavering.
Angela scoffed. “I’m not the culprit. Why should I go?”
Sandra smirked. “Are you afraid?”
“No!” Angela roared.
Sandra’s grin widened. “Then go ahead.”
Angela hesitated. If she didn’t do it, it would only make her look guilty. She glanced at Debra for help.
Debra, clearly frustrated, knew Sandra was trying to trap Angela.
“Sandra, stop it,” Debra interjected. “It’s useless for Angela to do it. It’s just a waste of time.”
“She hasn’t even tried yet. How do you know it’s a waste of time?” Sandra sarcastically interrupted. “Seems like you’re feeling guilty.”
Angela had never felt such humiliation. She was infuriated. “I’m not guilty. I’ll go and prove it!”
With that, she turned around and walked towards Victor. As she walked, she made up her mind—when this was over, she would teach Sandra a good lesson.
She stood at Victor’s sickbed, speaking insincerely. “Dad, I’m here to see you. Please don’t make us worry anymore. Wake up soon.”
Victor, his eyes shut tight and his face pale, suddenly opened his eyes and began coughing violently. Angela stood there, stunned.

Could it really be this effective?
Sandra sneered and looked at Debra.
“Mrs. Debra Cooper, it seems like you don’t need to search for the culprit anymore. The culprit is right in front of you.”
Debra’s face turned livid.
Angela froze in place, embarrassment washing over her.
Wesley sneered, “I’ll tell the police it’s a murder.”
Angela panicked.
With a pleading expression, she said, “Wesley, it wasn’t me.”
Wesley remained expressionless. “That’s what you should tell the police. Don’t waste your breath on me.”
Angela fell silent.
Debra realized this situation could be detrimental to both her and Angela.
“Wesley, since you’re fine now, why don’t you go back to the Cooper Group? The design department has a competition coming up. They need you.”
She tried to use power to save Angela.
Sandra sneered inwardly, feeling that the entire Cooper family was sordid and selfish.
She decided to seize the opportunity.
“Mrs. Debra Cooper, have you forgotten about me?” She was Wesley’s wife, and she should naturally be part of the company.
She didn’t care about the money, but she enjoyed seeing Debra frustrated.
Debra nearly bit through her own lip. Sandra was clearly taking advantage of the situation!
Unfortunately, for Angela’s sake, Debra had to give in.
“I don’t know what you prefer. How about you start at the bottom of the technical department?”
Sandra retorted, “Start at the bottom?”
Debra gritted her teeth.
“The deputy director of the technical department just resigned, and I haven’t found a suitable replacement yet. How about you take the position?”
She didn’t think Sandra, a village girl, understood these high-tech matters.
As the deputy director, she would undoubtedly make mistakes, and then she would be dethroned. The deputy director of the technical department…
Sandra turned to Wesley.
“Mr. Cooper, do you think this position suits me?”
Wesley’s mouth twitched.
She would decide whether it suited her or not. But since she asked, it seemed she was interested in the position.
“Yeah,” he nodded. “It’ll do.”
Debra was speechless.
She was furious! This couple was so greedy! It was the deputy director of the technical department! How could they act as if they were at a disadvantage?
She almost had a heart attack from anger.
Seeing that her plan was almost complete, Sandra held the wheelchair and prepared to leave.
After all, she had reviewed the accident with Wesley, and there was insufficient evidence. It would be difficult to send Angela to prison. So, she had to find another way to vent her anger.
As the two reached the center of the yard, they were suddenly blocked by four mastiffs at the gate.
Angela and Debra stood at the door, watching them.
“Mom, did you bring them here?”
Debra shook her head.
“Looks like someone else wants them dead.”
Excitement flickered in Angela’s eyes.
“These mastiffs belong to your uncle and aunt, but they’re usually timid. They must have been manipulated.”
Debra forced a smile, speaking louder.
“Mastiffs are loyal to their owners, and they know who the real head of this family is.”
Sandra understood what she meant.
She had offended them, crossing a line with the mastiffs. As their owner was being bullied, they would naturally attack.
Sandra had no interest in arguing with them.
The four mastiffs in front of her looked as fierce as lions. One of them took two steps forward, emitting a low growl. Its sharp teeth were exposed, making it intimidatingly frightening.
Sandra casually cracked her fingers and asked, “Mr. Cooper, you or me?”
Wesley sat weakly in the wheelchair, looking as though the mastiff could crush him with a single swipe. How could he confront these beasts?
Before he could respond, Sandra walked directly toward the mastiffs.
Wesley was speechless. Was she teasing him? His face darkened.
As Sandra approached, the four mastiffs growled again, clearly threatening her. Sandra gave a faint smile, completely unafraid.
Angela clenched her fists, swallowing nervously.
“Mom, is she going to be torn apart?”
Debra patted her shoulder. “It’ll be bloody. Don’t look.”
“No, I want to see. She’s so arrogant. She deserves it,” Angela said, appearing innocent, but her eyes burned with malice. In her heart, she prayed that the mastiffs would tear Sandra apart. She wanted to see her crushed.
“Mom, the mastiffs are about to attack!”
Angela, who usually feared mastiffs, no longer sounded scared. Instead, she seemed excited.
Debra also tensed, hoping the mastiffs would go wild soon.
