chapter1630
Just as Stella hung up, a familiar and pleasantly surprised voice sounded behind her.
"Star?!"
Stella turned around, stunned for a few seconds herself.
"Noah?"
Abby, who also knew Noah, couldn't help but wave at him.
"Noah, long time no see."
Noah smiled and walked over to them. "Ms. Murphy, it's been a while."
Abby had heard from Stella that she had run into Noah at a banquet before.
"Noah, what are you doing here?" Abby asked.
"My family's company happens to have a partnership with the Wayne family," Noah said with a smile, then looked at Stella.
"Did you also secure a partnership with the Wayne family?"
Stella nodded lightly.
"How long did it take you to land this deal?" Noah asked.
"Star personally worked on it for about two months," Abby said.
Hearing this, Noah looked at Stella with clear admiration.
"The Wayne family is an excellent partner. Their strength, credibility, and reputation are all impeccable. However, their project manager is notoriously difficult. My family pursued a partnership with them for a full year before we finally succeeded. For Star to do it in two months is truly incredible."
Abby beamed, feeling more proud than if she had received the compliment herself.
"Of course. Star is a super genius, and she's only been in the business for a year." a year?"
"Only
Noah's gaze on Stella grew even more intense.
"Star, since you've come all the way to Germany, how about I show you and Ms. Murphy around tomorrow?" he offered.
An image of Joshua suddenly flashed through Stella's mind.
She smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Abby and I have other plans. I'm afraid we won't have time."
Abby shot Stella a sideways glance.
Disappointment was visible on Noah's face.
But he quickly put on a smile again. "In that case, let me at least treat you to dinner after the party ends."
Stella was about to refuse when a tall figure suddenly ran over and intimately linked her arm with Noah's.
She stared at Abby and Stella with hostile eyes. "Noah, who are they?!"
The woman appeared to be local, probably in her early twenties, with sharp, delicate features, but her eyes held a certain arrogance and
willfulness. t
Abby didn't recognize her but felt an immediat di?like for the girl. Her gaze was condescending, and the disdain in her eyes was completely undisguised.
Seeing her, Stella's expression clouded over.
It was Princess Wright.
Noah coldly pulled his arm away, his previously warm smile replaced with an icy expression.
"Miss Wright, show some dignity."
Instantly, as if struck by his harsh words, Princess Wright's eyes welled up with tears and her face took on a wronged expression.
"Noah, why are you treating me like this? You once said you would love me forever!"
Noah's face was grim. "Princess Wright, we broke up three years ago. Please stop harassing me, okay?"
Stella and Abby exchanged a look. This was getting interesting.
Princess Wright sobbed, "I know I had a bad temper before, and I disappointed you. But I've changed. I promise I won't be like that again. Noah, can you just give me tone more chance?"
"If you had really changed," Noah said, "you wouldn't still be clinging to me and
trying to control who I can be friends with."
