chapter1220
After a long silence, Coleman finally spoke. "Aurora, Leonard is off the board now. Do you think you have a way to bring Joshua over to our side?"
Aurora's eyes narrowed in thought, but she remained silent. Joshua was unlike any man she had ever met. He was an enigma, and even she wasn't confident she could handle him.
Seeing her hesitation, Coleman understood. "If even you don't have a plan...'
Before he could finish, Aurora's expression cleared as if she'd reached a decision. "I can try, but I can't guarantee the outcome."
Hearing her agree, Israel blurted out, "But didn't you say Simone Lerman is head over heels for Joshua? If she finds out, won't she try to kill you?" Th?s chapter is updated by find[?]ovel.net
Aurora turned to him, patiently explaining, "Brother, there are many ways to win someone over. It doesn't always have to be about romance."
A look of dawning comprehension spread across Israel's face, immediately followed by a flush of embarrassment.
"Sorry, Aurora," he conceded. "My view was really narrow-minded."
Aurora offered a slight smile and said no more.
Stella had been incredibly busy lately.
She was juggling work, dealing with the fallout from Leonard's stolen cargo, and taking care of Joshua. He had been injured on a mission for her, so she felt it was her duty to look after him. She'd even moved her laptop into his hospital room to handle work matters during her downtime.
One day, an anonymous email appeared in her inbox.
When she opened it, she found it was filled with evidence of Leonard's illegal activities-proof of his ruthless tactics to eliminate rivals and consolidate power, including evidence that hed even harmed his own family members. The file was extensive, and Stella's brow
furrowed deeper the more she read.
Nearby, Joshua was looking down at his phone. Though he was always with Stella, he had his own work to manage, which he usually handled discreetly on his device. After sending a message to Jake, he glanced up at Stella and noticed her expression had turned severe.
"Star, is something wrong?" he asked. He rarely interrupted her when she was focused on work. Stella had grown immensely since she first joined The Williams Group; she was far more confident and capable now. Joshua had begun letting her make more d cisions on her own, only stepping in to offer advice when needed.
Stella looked up, startled out of her thoughts. "I just received an email. It's about Leonard."
A flicker of understanding crossed Joshua's eyes; he knew precisely what it was. He asked, "Do you know who sent it?"
Stella thought for a moment. "It was sent anonymously, so it couldn't have been Abby Murphy. Whoever sent this has access to incredibly detailed information. It has to be someone inside the Lerman family." She lifted her gaze to meet his. "You said Abby is with Harland Lerman How at Leonard hasn't found and
her. That means the person who
sent this email is most likely
Harland."
A faint smile touched Joshua's lips. His Star was getting smarter and smarter. She
had gone from knowing nothing to being able to calmly analyze a situation and
keep up with his own line of thought.
Having guided her growth at every stage, he was now filled with a sense of fulfillment unlike anything he had ever known not even leading his own family had given him this.
