Chapter 1087

chapter1087

Haynes's brow furrowed slightly a sure sign he was running out of patience.

Stella calmly prepared to look away.

But as if sensing her presence, Haynes turned and looked directly at her, his gaze unwavering.

The moment his eyes landed on her, something lit up inside them.

Without another word, he left Queenie's side and strode purposefully toward Stella.

Queenie had been in the middle of an animated conversation when she suddenly realized Haynes had walked off without so much as a goodbye.

The smile froze on her face.

She glanced around, only to spot Stella standing a short distance away.

A glint of coldness flashed in her eyes.

Upstairs, in one of the guest rooms, Keen cradled the gift Foreman had given him, grinning with pure delight.

"Thank you, Mr. Richards. I really like this present."

Foreman smiled, ruffling Keen's hair affectionately as he probed for news about Stella.

"Have you been staying with the Williams family lately, Keen?"

Keen nodded enthusiastically. "Yes. Grandpa takes me on walks around the estate every day."

"Doesn't your mom keep you company?" Foreman asked.

"When she has some free time, she'll cook for me herself," Keen replied. "But when she's busy with work, I might not see her for days."

A flicker of calculation passed through Foreman's eyes. "And what about Joshua? Does he spend more time with you or your mom?"

"Most of the time, he's with Mom," Keen said. "Mr. Joshua says this place isn't as safe as back home-there are a lot of bad people here so he needs to stay close and keep her safe."

Foreman skillfully steered the conversation, digging for more details about Stella and Joshua's relationship.

The more he listened to Keen's chatter, the more his anger simmered.

Ever since Joshua had pulled Stella into his arms not long ago, Foreman had found him an eyesore.

What really gnawed at him was that when Stella went to change clothes, Joshua had offered to accompany her what's worse, Stella hadn't ed at all.

That sort of behavior was way out of line for a bodyguard and his employer.

A cold sense of crisis crept into Foreman's heart.

Joshua was using his bodyguard status to get close to Stella, winning her trust and affection behind Foreman's back.

It was obvious Stella trusted Joshua completely now.

And after trust-what came next? Content originally comes from Find[?]ovel.net

Would she fall for Joshua?

Say what you will, Joshua's looks were dangerous enough.

Foreman had planned to take care of Leonard's mess before dealing with Joshua.

But now, it was clear-he couldn't wait any longer.

His gaze dropped to Keen.

"Keen, your dad's here tonight, too. Would you like to go see your parents?"

Keen hesitated. "But Mr. Joshua said

there are too many people at the party tonight and it's not really safe. He told me I should stay in my room. After the party Mom and Dad will come find me." s

A cold gleam flashed in Foreman's eyes.

Joshua again.

He probably didn't want Keen to interrupt his time with Stella.

After all, when Keen was around, Stella's attention was on her son.

Or maybe Joshua wanted to take Keen with them.

Foreman forced a genial smile. "I heard Neville brought his son, Marvin Connolly to Solmaris as well They're planning to stay for a while. Your mom said once you leave Solmaris, Marvin will come live here for a bit, too." s

He paused, voice gentle. "It won't be long before you and your dad have to leave Solmaris, right? By then, you might not get to see your m

much at all." s
