Chapter 887

chapter887

Lewis sat there, hands clenched tight, his face flushed with embarrassment because of Yara. He'd never felt this humiliated since the day his own daughter got pregnant in high school. Now, it was like history was repeating itself.

Kevin, I'll take responsibility for this. I'll make a public statement that it was my doing, and I'll hand in my resignation," he said. Yara's life was just getting started. He couldn't let her future get ruined over this. He'd already getting embarrassed once because of his daughter. Doing it again didn't bother him anymore.

Kevin watched Lewis for a long time before letting out a heavy sigh. "No need for a resignation. Just go back and delete every post you made from your account. The school will release an official statement. You can go now."

After all, Lewis had dedicated his whole life to teaching. He was two years away from retirement. Kevin couldn't let the man's career end in disgrace.

By three in the afternoon, everyone noticed that the post which had blown up the forum was gone. So were all the comments Lewis had ever made. The school's official account posted a message, saying Lewis's account had been hacked and those comments weren't from him. They said the investigation would continue. The forum's real-name policy would stay in place, and everyone was encouraged to keep things positive.

The whole school went wild. Hacked? Most of them never believed Mr. Johnson would say those things, but not revealing the real culprit felt off. Some students who had always backed Lydia started whispering that maybe Yara used her

grandfather's account to make that poll and write those nasty comments. But now that the forum was real-name only, nobody dared to say anything out loud. Since the school had dropped the matter, there's nothing they could do.

Later, in the advanced lab's lounge, Kevin had ordered a feast, saying it was his treat for everyone. But one look at the table and it was obvious all the food was Lydia's favorites.

"You must be tired, sweetheart. This is all for you," Kevin said.

Lydia didn't hold back. She grabbed a milkshake and called Garrett and the others to dig in. "His feeling guilty, that's why we're getting this. He never does this for us so don be polite," she joked.

Everyone tried not to laugh. Kevin looked a little awkward.

"This time wasn't fair, I admit it. Think of it as giving Yara another chancez She's just a girl, and she just likes Garrett Plus, M. Johnson has done a lot for Capital Med School Just do me a favor," Kevin explained.

Lydia raised an eyebrow. "I never said I'd expose her. I was just helping Garrett deal with an annoying admirer."

She didn't really care anymore. As long as the problem was solved, she was fine. Yara wasn't worth getting mad over.

Garrett looked embarrassed. The

whole

mess had started because of him. "Mr. Moore, I was the one who asked Lydia to step in and handle those posts. didn't expect my arrival to stir up so much drama for the school. I guess I should keep a lower profile from now on."

He figured he'd just come and go at odd hours, avoiding the students as much as possible.

Kevin chuckled. That's only because you are too impressive. If you and Lydia weren't siblings, I'd probably be rooting for you two."

Garrett grinned and raised his eyebrow. "So, Mr. Moore, are you saying Lydia and Connor aren't as good a match as Lydia and me?
