chapter699
Monica hurried over to Lydia and shot Patricia a look. You were bold enough to make a bet in front of everyone, but now that you lost, you're suddenly all pitiful?"
Fiona jumped in. "When Lydia hit her first bullseye, you two said she just got lucky. You made her shoot ten, and she nailed every single one. Now what? Planning to weasel out?"
Daisy bristled. "Monica, Fiona, don't you think you're going too far? Patricia is a girl. How can you treat her like this in front of so many classmates? Isn't that a bit much?"
Patricia's eyes filled with gratitude as she looked at Daisy.
But Lydia just shrugged. "If you feel so sorry for her, why not split the punishment? Five 'Your Highness' each."
Daisy froze, words stuck in her throat.
The scene instantly dragged her back to the humiliation of last night, kneeling and apologizing to Lydia. She wish she could wipe Lydia off the face of the earth.
Patricia actually looked at Daisy with a bit of hope, clearly wishing Daisy would step in for her.
But Daisy turned her head away without a hint of mercy. "Patricia, I tried."
Tears slipped down Patricia's cheeks. She looked to Jay, their silent instructor, hoping he'd step in.
"I'll do what I promised. Can I at least wait until we're back in the dorm?"
Jay's face stayed blank. "A bet is a bet."
Patricia's last bit of hope vanished.
Later, at dinner, everyone was glued to their phones, scrolling through the school forum.
"This year's freshman training is wild."
I know, right? Lydia is insane. Ten bullseyes in a row? Who does that?"
And that girl who bet against her had to kneel and call her 'Your Highness' ten times. She ran back to her dorm crying, and now everyone's talking about it even kids from
other schools."
"Honestly, Lydia is kind of savage. The girl begged her to wait until they got back to the dorm, but she refused."
"No wonder the forum's full of people dragging her."
Back in their dorm, Monica and Fiona were furious as they scrolled through the hate posts. "These trolls are unbelievable. They weren't even weren'tever there. They didn't see how awful Daisy and Patricia acted."
Exactly. Now they're calling Lydia cold and heartless. Seriously, why?"
Lydia poured herself some water, totally unbothered. "Let them say whatever they want."
She knew those haters were just following the orders of someone else.
Meanwhile, over at Capital College, in Lucinda's dorm.
Lucinda had heard all about the drama from Capital Med's training. Lydia was practically famous now.
"Lucinda, I heard someone at Capital Med shot ten bullseyes and made her classmate kneel and call her 'Dad.' Isn't that way too much?" Hannah said.
Lucinda smiled. Yeah, that does seem a bit harsh. I mean, they're classmates. No need to make things so ugly."
Evelyn chimed in. "The one who shot the ten bullseyes was Lydia, right? This year's top scorer in the whole country. But she's so arrogant and loves attention You shot ten bullseyes too today, Lucinda but you're so humble. Nothing like her."
Mia nodded. Exactly. She gets a perfect score and just ruins her own reputation. What's the point? Lucinda is amazing and still so kind and down-to-earth."
Lucinda just smiled. Everyone has a different way of handling things. If it were me,
I'd never make a classmate lose their dignity like that in front of everyone."
As she spoke, she replied to Grace's message. [Grace, nice work.]
