He didn't wait for anyone else. He just pulled out a chair and made himself comfortable.

The more he scrolled, the deeper his frown got. He couldn't even concentrate on work anymore.

Jay was seriously out of line. Connor was out of the country, so he thought he could swoop in and become Lydia's instructor?

Without thinking, Connor tried to video call her.

Lydia had just finished lunch and was still in the cafeteria when her phone lit up with Connor's call. She hesitated and didn't answer. The place was packed with students. If she picked up a video call now, everyone would figure out she was dating Connor.

But the longer she refused to answer, the more anxious Connor got. He couldn't stop picturing Lydia and Jay together. Maybe he shouldn't have left for this business trip. Maybe he needed to stay by Lydia's side all the time.
