chapter684
Ms. Powell turned to Daisy. "Daisy, is there anything you want to say?"
Daisy had never felt this humiliated before. She shot Fiona a look so sharp it could cut, her whole body burning with anger. "Fiona, I've never done anything to you. Why are you doing this to me?"
Fiona squeezed her hands together and looked away. "At first, I didn't plan to show the video. I wanted you to admit you were wrong. But instead, you kept denying it and even tried to blame Lydia. I just couldn't let my conscience go. I'm sorry.
Fiona hadn't wanted things to turn out like this with Daisy. She wasn't looking for trouble, but at this point, it didn't matter anymore. If the Rivers family wanted to put her on their blacklist, so be it. Daisy was the kind of person she never wanted to deal with anyway.
Ronald still couldn't believe Daisy was acting so arrogant, even with all the evidence laid out right in front of her. Did she think she owned the place?
"Daisy, now that everything's clear, I'm asking you to apologize to Lydia. If Lydia accepts your apology, we'll let this go."
Daisy was still a mess, her clothes damp and hair tangled. And now they wanted her to apologize in front of everyone? She could barely choke down her pride.
Ms. Powell spoke up too. "Daisy, since you started all this, you should apologize to Lydia. Or, if you have anything else you want to say, now's the time."
Daisy glared at Lydia, then shot Monica and Fiona looks full of resentment. She saved her harshest glare for Fiona. If Fiona hadn't come up with that video, Daisy could have denied everything, and there'd be nothing Lydia or the school could do to her.
But now...
She balled her fists, gritted her teeth, and mumbled three words, barely above a whisper. "I'm sorry."
No one in the room, not even Lydia, could really hear her apology.
Lydia let out a dry laugh and stared at Daisy. "I gave you a chance, Daisy. You didn't want it, so that's on you."
Daisy's face twisted with rage. "Lydia, I already apologized. What else do you want from me?"
Lydia gave her a cold smile. When you and the dorm supervisor tried to frame me, you wanted me expelled and Monica and Fiona punished. Now it turns out you're the one at fault and you think a half hearted 'sorry' is enough?"
Daisy was shaking with anger. "Lydia, don't push your luck. I only apologized because the school leaders are here!"
"Then I guess we have nothing more to talk about."
Lydia looked at Ms. Powell and the others. "I want Daisy to apologize to me in front
of everyone at the opening ceremony. If she refuses, expulsion won't be the end of
it."
Ms. Powell and the others knew Lydia had Kevin behind her. Most people wouldn't dare cross the Rivers family, but vinent most
people. If Daisy kept this up, she'd drag her whole family down with her.
Daisy, everyone already knows about what happened tonight," Bobby said gently.
"If you explain yourself at the opening ceremony, it might help stop the rumors from spreading."
Daisy looked like she'd just heard the world's worst joke. If the school leaders weren't here, she would have gone for Lydia right then and there.
That bitch!
"I'm gonna call my family here!"
Her hands were trembling as she
pulled out her phone and dialed a number. The second someone
answered, she burst into tears Dad someone's bullying me. They're trying to kick me out of school."
Wally's heart dropped the moment he heard his daughter crying. "Daisy, it's okay. Who is messing with my daughter? Sweetheart, your mom and I are coming right now."
