Chapter 362

chapter362

Connor frowned. Black Eagle?

Everyone in the Triangle knew Black Eagle was the top gang around. They were notorious for being aggressive and ruthless, their methods always crossing the line.

Connor had always kept his distance from the chaos in the Triangle. His rule was simple-never get mixed up with those kinds of people, but never let them walk all over him either.

For three years, things had stayed peaceful between them. He hadn't expected Black Eagle to finally make a move.

"You should go get some rest. I'll handle this," Connor said quietly. He didn't want Lydia to get involved, especially not with Black Eagle. He knew all too well there was bad blood between Black Eagle and Lydora.

Lydia just shrugged, completely unfazed. Why would I miss out on all the action?"

Connor could only sigh.

They headed back toward the mountain gate together. When they got there, Damien had already pinned down one of the intruders, pressing a gun to the young man's head. His voice was cold. "Take one more step and he's dead."

"Damien, wait! That's our boss' little brother. He's just here to look for medicine! If you hurt him, Black Eagle will never let this go!" The speaker was a man with bleached yellow hair, a deep scar running down his face, and a black dragon tattoo curling around his arm. He looked like trouble, and he was-Scar, Black Eagle's third-in-command.

The young guy Damien had grabbed couldn't have been more than twenty, and he was Ezra, little brother of Black Eagle's boss.

Damien scoffed. "You come to look for medicine but sneak onto our mountain without permission? You really think Black Eagle calls the shots everywhere?"

Scar's eyes flashed with anger. "Three years ago, I came and went whenever I wanted. I don't care if your boss bought this mountain, he still has to show Black Eagle some respect!"

Mount Gemspire was famous for its rare herbs. Back in the day, Black Eagle took whatever they wanted. Nobody dared stop them. Now, out of nowhere, someone else was claiming the mountain and trying to keep them out?

"This place used to be under the coalition's control. Back then, we couldn't stop you. But three years ago, our boss bought the mountain. Now it belongs to us Anyone who wants to come up needs ou permission."

Scar spat on the ground. "It's just a bunch of weeds. Is it really worth dying for? Let us through, and I put in a good word for you with our boss. Life could be a lot easier here for you. If not... well...

Connor's voice cut through the tension. "If not, what?"

Scar spun around and froze when he saw who had spoken. His face went pale. "You... you're..."

Connor. The legendary commander. The man who, three years ago, single- handedly destroyed the largest crime syndicate in Southeast Asia.

People outside the underworld didn't know the whole story, but Scar had heard the rumors. Black Eagle might be big here, but back then, those Southeast Asian gangs were the real monsters. Compared to them, Black Eagle was nothing.

Connor's name and face had been passed around among the top gangs ever since

that day. Only the bosses knew who he really was.

Scar knew better than to mess with him.

Connor's eyes narrowed. "You know who I am?"

Scar tried to play it cool, but he was sweating. If Connor found out his face was on

their watchlist, he might just come for all of them.

"You're the new boss here?" Scar forced out, pretending he wasn't rattled.

Now it made sense why the coalition had agreed to sell the mountain. It was because of this man.

Connor didn't bother to answer. "Are you the one causing trouble here?"
