chapter1035
Kevin's brow furrowed. "This is the result of a thorough investigation, there's no way it's wrong. Don't let this get out, just tell the class that she's withdrawn from school."
"But, I really don't believe she could do something like this!" Silvia's voice was firm. "Why?" Kevin leaned in, curious about Silvia's certainty.
Silvia pulled out her phone, quickly bringing up the 'Chief Lydia' account, and held it up for Kevin to see. "Look, she's amazing. She's the famous Chief Lydia online, with tens of millions of fans. People adore her. Someone like that couldn't possibly be a murderer."
Kevin didn't want to look, but Silvia was persistent. He glanced at the phone, then back at Silvia, the mood suddenly tense.
"Sandy told you that's her?" he asked.
Silvia nodded. "Yes, that's her."
Kevin let out a sigh and shook his head. "Sandy tricked you. She isn't Chief."
But, it really is her. She even showed the pharmacy where she films her videos. It's exactly the same."
Kevin looked at her and said, "If she's so talented, why didn't she place in the top three at the academic competition?"
Silvia went silent.
"Chief Lydia is Lydia, not Sandy. You've been a counselor for years. How could you let a student fool you like this?" Kevin shook his head again.
Silvia felt her mind go blank.
What? Chief Lydia... is Lydia? Her eyes went wide with shock.
"Go back to your class. Keep Sandy's situation confidential. And don't tell anyone about Lydia being Chief Lydia unless Lydia chooses to share it herself. Just act like you know nothing."
Walking out of the principal's office, Silvia felt dazed. Lydia wasn't just the principal's only apprentice, she was also the online celebrity, Chief Lydia. And before the academic Competition...
Memories of how she'd treated Lydia rushed back, filling her with regret that made her stomach twist. She'd always thought, as a counselor, she could keep her
Students in fine. She neved
she'd be the one played so thoroughly.
When Silvia arrived at the classroom, most of the students were already there. Even Lydia, who used to skip class all the time, was quietly resting her head on her desk.
Once everyone was settled, the students started glancing at Sandy's empty seat. "Hey, where's Sandy?"
"Yeah, she's usually the first one in."
"Maybe she took the day off?"
The room buzzed with questions. Silvia finally spoke, her voice calm but heavy. "Sandy has withdrawn from school due to personal reasons."
The whole class erupted.
How could this happen? Sandy had worked so hard to get into Capital Med School. She was one of the best. Why would she just quit?
"Did Sandy transfer to another school?"
"Yeah, or did she just drop out?
Silvia raised a hand to quiet them. "I'm not sure. Let's not jump to conclusions. Everyone has their own choices."
She glanced over at Lydia, then continued, "Lydia did an outstanding job at the academic competition and won the championship. She's the pride of Capital Med School. I once made a bet with her that if she got into the top three, I'd transfer away. After class, I'll be applying to Mr. Moore to keep my promise."
