Chapter 1024

chapter1024

Wendy arched an eyebrow. "What's wrong? Getting nervous now? You really think she's got what it takes?"

Janet snorted. Honestly, you need to stop pretending to be something you are not. We actually know art when we see it."

Lydia didn't even look their way.

The butler, Ford, came in himself, carrying the best paper and paints. He fixed the paper onto the easel and quietly stepped back. Even though the staff didn't have much education in the arts, they trusted Lydia. They were sure she wouldn't let them down.

Chloe watched with a smirk. Was Lydia really going to keep up this act? Fine. They'd play along. Chloe was dying to see what Lydia could actually do.

Lydia moved fast, so fast everyone else could barely keep up. Every line she drew was smooth and confident, her hand steady and sure.

In less than thirty minutes, a brand new The Swimming Fish painting was finished.

Everyone crowded around, holding their breath. The painting was stunning! It was almost as if a cool breeze drifted out from the paper, bringing with it the quiet energy of a pond.

At the top, flowets stretched upward, perfectly spaced and effortlessly natural. The paint bled softly into the paper, creating delicate outlines and textures for the leaves. The flowers

stood tall among the leaves, some in

full bloom, petals pure whitome in

golden centers, glowing even brighter against the deep green leaves. Others were still buds, their tips kissed by a hint of pink, like shy girls with secrets.

Below, a pool of water was suggested with a few simple strokes and the faintest wash of paints, giving the illusion of rippling waves. A handful of fish darted through the water, their slender bodies catching the light, silver scales glimmering. Sometimes they chased each other, sometimes they paused, as if listening to the lotuses or just taking in the peaceful scene.

The whole painting was a perfect balance of stillness and movement. The quiet beauty of the flowers and the lively fish came together in a world that felt alive and poetic. You could almost smell the fresh scent of the flowers and hear the gentle swish of water, getting lost in this calm, beautiful moment and forgetting everything else.

That's amazing! Absolutely goegerous. Lydia, you're incredible! Mr. Robinson was

so excited he could barely get the words out.

Cameron and the others all gave Lydia a thumbs up, crowding around her with praise.

"Oh my god, this just proves it. You don't realize until you compare them side by side. Seriously, just look. That fake one is embarrassing. It looks like a kid drew it, haha. And they called that an original Owen?" Nathaniel had no mercy, holding both paintings up for everyone to see.

Damien's whole family was frozen. They'd never really known anything about Lydia or what she could do. Who would have guessed that an eighteen-year-old girl could paint something so full of life and energy? Was it possible... Could she really be Owen?

"No way. That's impossible. Owen's been famous for years. She's just a kid, she..." Chloe's voice faded. She couldn't even finish the thought. If Lydia really was Owen, just how unbelievable was she? Everyone always thought Owen was some old guy with white hair, but it turned out she was just an eighteen-year-old girl.
